Showcase Wedding
Bianca and Elliott
The beautiful and picturesque Zimbali Coastal Resort was the destination wedding venue for UK based Bianca and Elliott. Bianca is originally from South Africa, and choosing to have the wedding in South Africa allowed for a more beach inspired wedding.
With the ceremony being held over the beautiful rim flow swimming pool, and the bride and groom literally standing over the water, a gazebo was erected and adorned with flowers in the form of a beautiful floral garland. Various other floral storyboards and plinths leading from the entrance to the ceremony area brought the whole concept together.
As stunning as the ceremony area looked, the reception venue as absolutely breathtaking!
The benefit of having a small and intimate wedding is that your focal area is reduced, allowing for a concentration of all the décor elements, and this was no different. With the main table looking out towards the ocean, and the guests’ tables flanking the swimming pool, an exquisite setting was created by suspending lights over all the tables. With no other light source shining onto the reception area, the suspended globes provided the most magical feel. Creams, silvers, pinks and a touch of gold were all brought together across the tables, with beautiful flower arrangements and an array of candlelight.
The intimate party thoroughly enjoyed their night and were treated by one of South Africa’s brilliant autumn evenings.
