Functions for Africa was honored to have been the decor and floral sponsors for the Open Door Crisis Care Center's annual benefit breakfast, which was held on the 12th October at Durban's Elangeni Hotel.
The Functions for Africa team came together with the staff of Open Door and created a beautiful concept for decor which tied in brilliantly with the "Power of Love" theme for this year's event. Olive green cloths just worked in the venue, and were enhanced by lots of mirror and glass brought onto the table. The florals added just the right amount of "pop" to the tables, complimenting the linen. Simple, elegant and strong was achieved by bringing in just the right balance between the soft touch roses and snowdons, and the right amount of pennygum and greenery.
After setup on the 11th October, we were blessed to have been invited guests for the event. We were treated to a variety of entertainers, lucky draws and raffles, all in aid of raising awareness of what Open Door Crisis Care Center is all about, and trying to help raise much needed funds, for what is in our mind, an outstanding organisation. The morning was also a real eye opener as to what the center goes through on a daily basis.
This organisation is truly a special one, and we take our hats off to every member who selflessly does what many of us don't. We could not have been more honored or proud to have been a part of such a good cause, and we hope that we are able to see the Open Door Center bloom and continue to do such amazing work.
